THE EFFECT OF DRTA STRATEGY AND STRATEGY ON THE STUDENTS’ ACHIEVEMENT IN READING COMPREHENSION

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memahami bacaan pada siswa SMP, karena pelaksanaan membaca intensif belum memenuhi hakikat membaca intensif itu sendiri. Penelitian ini, merupakan penelitian eksperimental dengan rancangan pre-test-post-test control group design. Hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pengujian keterampilan membaca intensif pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen pada pretest adalah t hitung < t tabel, 0,796 < 0,281, sehingga tidak terdapat perbedaan keterampilan membaca intensif pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. kelas pada pre-test yang artinya tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan awal siswa sebelum diberikan tindakan.
